JUVENILE CRIMINALS ARE GREATEST THREAT

Teen crime is one of the biggest plagues of the American society. From 1985 to 1995, juvenile arrests for violent crimes rose 67 percent. “In America today, no population possesses a greater threat to public safety than juvenile criminals,”  says Representative Bill McCollum.

Some criminologists warn that this is the beginning of a new wave of “superpredators” on the streets. Sociologists believe that fatherless households and  fractured neighborhoods constitute the main causes of such teenage behavior.

Children Killing Children

The two boys from Jonesboro, Arkansas who opened fire on classmates and teachers, killing five, hadn’t finished grade school, and were not old enough to drive, smoke, drink, or even go out on a date. In fact, they probably wouldn’t know how to survive by themselves. One of them cries in his holding cell for his mother.

How can children kill children? The question probably replays over and over again in the minds of millions around the world.

On Tuesday, March 24, Mitch–13 and Drew–11 omitted their school-bus ride and first period. Mitch piloted his step father’s gray van, which contained food, camouflage netting, ammunition, hunting knives and survival gear. Stopping first at Drew’s grandparent’s home they retrieved several guns and then parked their car about 100 yards from the school. Drew ran inside, pulled the fire alarm, then ran outside and rejoined Mitch in the woods where they waited for their classmates. As their classmates exited the building, the two opened fire, targeting specific vulnerable ones.

LG comments: As the world grows more insensitive to the Spirit of God, senseless acts of carnage and barbarity will increase. This is an actual fulfillment of Bible prophecy: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. Men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boaster, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce. . . “ (2 Timothy 3:1-3).
